How Biden’s Inner Circle Protected a Faltering President - The New York Times
Happy Memorial Day
For ten years the Times enabled and cosseted Biden thereby depriving America of a democratically elected President putting our nation at existential risk and as unindicted co -conspirators facilitated renegade rule by auto-pen. By January 2025 when the article attached appeared the Times duplicitously dropped the blame on Biden’s Inner circle while circumventing its own monstrous culpability. I had known the truth from the beginning so I smirked at this transparent dodging of responsibility. I guffawed at the turn of events that smoked them out sufficiently to force their hand to print this article of half-truths ( an improvement for the Times) which pontificated on “ the inner circle protecting a faltering President.” I swallowed hard to digest the calculated use of “ faltering “ in the headline. It was typical of the Times to misdescribe in order to misdirect. Faltering describes a champion horse slipping to second place barely behind the winner by a nose.
This was well before Tapper’s “ Original Sin” rocked the legacy media world and left it with the blame and shame of Adam and Eve. The damage done by the transgressors revealed the nakedness and puerility of the Grey Lady and reduced her media minions to the absurdity of covering their metaphorical genitals. ( There asses remain in plain view as constant reminders of their perfidy)
There has been much gnashing of teeth and donning of sackcloth and ashes by those who deceived their readers, traduced their oath and except for the miracle of Trump’s election, nearly caused America’s catastrophic demise.
If Kristof weighed in on this subject, even in the particular way of his oily partisanship I haven’t seen it. I read him regularly, though his writing oozing with putrid partiality is only instructive if taken with a barrel of salt. I was thrilled when he left to run for Governor of Oregon, a State which fits his perverse progressivism like a hand in a glove. (once he boasted of being a progressive, now though remaining a blindly ideological far left liberal , he has disencumbered himself of that toxic label)
While i commonly find the contents of his column as smugly superficial as they are odious, I blame him for being earnestly and invidiously wrong, forever yanking forbidden apples from the tree of knowledge. He obfuscates truth, pretends to be clever, is a smug as Gulliver among pygmies, and as condescending as a corrupt Pope.
I will read what he has written about Trump because you suggest I do, but I could write the piece ( r book?) prior to reading it, as he is as predictable as a finely tuned watch. He is a master of denigrating Trump and, because Trump is who he is, he will sometimes hit his target. But he doesn’t understand Trump and given his upbringing, education and bent of mind cannot, nor will he ever. I am not defending Trump. I am castigating Kristof for polluting political discourse from his privileged platform.
BTW I have knowledge of his courage and what I take as his pure motivations in pursuit of a story in death defying circumstances, and his laudable philanthropy. He has many redeeming qualities when he is not sullying the quest for even handedness in political combat. I can hold two contesting views of him. I admire his fearless exertions in zones of danger, but I despise is abuse of journalistic power. He is not a bad man but a pathetic one in need of redemption. He is a trespasser in the garden reserved for truth tellers. He needs to confess and repent.
Still, I thank you for the recommendation being of a mind that “ one can learn even from a fool.”
